Platform Overview

GDS is a platform connecting students and driving instructors. We act solely as a software provider and intermediary, and are not responsible for lessons, instructors' conduct, or content.

Accounts & Eligibility

Accounts

Users must provide accurate information and keep login credentials secure.

Eligibility

Students must be 16 years or older. Parental oversight is recommended for users under 18.
Instructors must meet local licensing requirements.

Payments

All payments are processed through Stripe.
Instructors set lesson prices; GDS collects a commission and a card processing fee, both included in the displayed price and paid by the student.
No card details are stored by GDS; only necessary financial transaction records are kept.
Payment disputes are between student and instructor or Stripe.

Data & Privacy

Personal data is retained for account functionality and payment processing only.
Users can delete their profile; personal data will be removed except financial records required by law.
GDPR-compliant handling of student and instructor data, including 16+ users.

Instructor & Lesson Liability

GDS is not responsible for the quality, content, or conduct of lessons.
Instructors are independent and set their own schedules and policies.
Students assume all risk when booking lessons.

Platform Use

Users must not engage in illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities.
Attempting to bypass payments, manipulate pricing, or access other users' accounts is prohibited.

Subscription & Commission

Commission and card processing fees on lessons are included in the displayed price and are paid by the student, not the instructor.

We provide transparent communication on fees and targeted areas for advertising.

Intellectual Property

GDS owns all software, content, and logos.
Users may not reproduce or distribute platform content without permission.

Termination

GDS may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Users may delete their accounts at any time.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is" without guarantees on uptime or reliability.
GDS is not liable for instructor misconduct, lesson quality, or student satisfaction.
Disputes between students and instructors are the responsibility of the parties involved.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the UK.

Disputes will be resolved in UK courts.

Changes to Terms

GDS may update these terms; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

By using the GDS platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
